A Day In MacRitchie Trail

Singapore is a very small, heavily urbanised, island city-state in Southeast Asia, located at the end of the Malayan Peninsula between Malaysia and Indonesia.

The Singapore area comprises mainland and other islands. The mainland of Singapore measures 50 kilometres (31 mi) from east to west and 27 kilometres (17 mi) from north to south with 193 kilometres (120 mi) of coastline.[Wikipedia]

So what can you do in Singapore? City explore? Relax at beach Santosa? Today I will introduce a place in mid of Singapore, if you are a hike lover, you will like this place. There's a famous hiking trail in Singapore call MacRitchie Trail. The distance to the entrance of the Tree Top Walk is approximately 4.5 km(1.5 - 2 hr walk) from MacRitchie Reservoir Park and 2.5 km(45 mins - 1 hr walk) from the car park at Venus Drive. A round trip including the Tree Top Walk is about 7 km to 10 km(3-5 hrs depending on your walking pace).

If you runs out the open space to go, you might want to check it here, in the middle of trail, you get sense of Bali vibe, and when you hideout yourself in the woods, not only you can get away of city, you get to be peaceful.

It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon, about 28 degree, this is the view of MacRitchie river. You can rent a kayak here, but if you would like to learn 1-1 class, you might need buy the classes.

Entrance of trail. Began the adventure.

This is where I do my meditation.

The whole trail looks like build from fairytale, with such nice weather like this, it is really cheering me up. All that crapy things just gone for the moment, and I get to breath.

Now if you sick of being at home and want to do something healthy, you might want to go an open space to relax, get a good workout, and MacRitchie trail will be a very good chioce.
